Spring 2004

A look within our community, Roswell, Georgia

In mid Spring, 2004, Mary Brooks Green, organizer of an AAU Basketball Program for girls had been the recipient of numerous stories in which certain youth were NOT given opportunities to show their true talents; not given an opportunity to develop their skills; not allowed to play because they were not members of some elite group or main stream.

5. To develop a stronger level of confidence and self-esteem in conjunction with creating a variety of options along with support and networking, to build on as they further their education and careers.
